Fill out a contact form or send us an email
Respond to surveys, participate in challenges, or engage with our content

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:
IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and identifiers
Pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, clicks, and navigation paths
Referring URLs and exit pages
Session duration and frequency of visits
Geographic location at the city or region level (derived from IP address)
Cookie identifiers and advertising identifiers (see Section 5 on Cookies and Tracking)
2.3 Information from Social Media and Advertising Platforms
We actively use paid advertising, affiliates and organic content on social media platforms, including Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Through these platforms and their associated tracking tools, we may receive or have access to:
Information about actions you take in response to our ads (clicks, views, purchases, lead form submissions)
Demographic and interest data used to build and target advertising audiences
Data associated with your social media profile when you engage with our content, comment, send us a direct message, or click our ads
Custom audience data: we may upload hashed email addresses to platforms like Meta to match our subscribers to advertising audiences
Lookalike audience data: platforms may use our customer data to identify and target users with similar characteristics
Retargeting data: if you have visited our site, we may serve you ads on social platforms based on that visit (via the Meta Pixel or equivalent)
Lead generation data: if you submit information through a native lead form on a social platform (e.g., Facebook Lead Ads), we receive that information directly
We have no control over social media platforms' own data collection practices. Please review the privacy policies of Meta (facebook.com/policy), TikTok, LinkedIn, and any other platform you use.
2.4 Payment Information
We do not store your payment card details on our servers. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors including:
Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe) — used for transactions completed through our Squarespace website storefront
Stripe — may be used directly for consulting deposits, invoices, or other transactions
Kit.com (ConvertKit Commerce) — may be used for digital product sales processed through our Kit account
Each of these processors has its own privacy policy and PCI-compliance infrastructure. We receive confirmation of successful payment and basic order information (name, email, amount, product). We do not receive or store raw card numbers, CVV codes, or bank account details.
2.5 Information from Email Marketing
We use Kit (ConvertKit) as our email marketing platform. Through Kit, we collect and store:
Your email address and name (and any other fields you complete at opt-in)
Email engagement data: open rates, click-through rates, link clicks, unsubscribes, and bounces
Sequence enrollment history and tag assignments
Purchase activity linked to your subscriber record (if you buy through a Kit-linked product)
Custom fields you complete in forms, surveys, or intake questionnaires
Kit may also collect technical data about email delivery and engagement. See Kit's privacy policy at kit.com/privacy for more information.
2.6 Information from Scheduling and Intake Tools
When you book a discovery call or consulting session, we may use scheduling tools (such as Calendly, Cal.com, or similar). These tools may collect your name, email, phone number, timezone, and any intake information you provide. This data is transmitted to us and stored in our CRM or email platform.
2.7 Aggregate and De-identified Data
We may collect, aggregate, and analyze data in de-identified or anonymized form that does not identify you personally. We may use and share this data without restriction.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Deliver digital products you purchase and provide download access
Process and confirm payments and issue receipts
Communicate with you about your order, consultation, or inquiry
Schedule, prepare for, and conduct consulting calls
Enroll you in email nurture sequences and send you relevant educational content
Send promotional emails and marketing communications to subscribers who have opted in
Run paid advertising campaigns on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and other platforms, including retargeting campaigns
Build and use custom audiences and lookalike audiences on advertising platforms
Track advertising performance and calculate return on ad spend
Analyze website traffic and user behavior to improve our site and content
Test and optimize landing pages, email copy, and offers (A/B testing)
Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal process
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized use of our products
Protect our legal rights and enforce these policies
4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
Contract performance: to fulfill purchases and deliver products or services you requested
Legitimate interests: to improve our services, analyze usage, operate our business, and communicate with existing customers — where our interests are not overridden by your rights
Consent: for email marketing (you may withdraw consent at any time without penalty by unsubscribing)
Legal obligation: where required by applicable law or regulation
5. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies
5.1 What We Use
We and our service providers use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies on our website. These tools help us:
Keep you logged in and remember your preferences
Understand how visitors navigate our site and which content is most valuable
Measure the performance of our website and marketing campaigns
Deliver targeted advertising on social platforms and across the web
Attribute purchases or sign-ups to specific ads or traffic sources
5.2 Specific Technologies We Use
Squarespace Analytics — tracks visits, sessions, and page-level engagement on our website
Meta Pixel (and others) — enables conversion tracking, retargeting, and custom/lookalike audience building on Facebook and Instagram; fires when you visit pages on our site
Google Analytics (and others) — tracks traffic sources, behavior flows, and goal completions
Kit tracking links — tracks clicks from emails to our website and records conversion events
Payment processor scripts — Stripe and Squarespace Payments embed JavaScript for secure payment form rendering and fraud detection
5.3 Your Cookie Choices
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete cookies, or set preferences by cookie type. Note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of our website.
To opt out of interest-based advertising:
Visit optout.aboutads.info (Digital Advertising Alliance)
Visit youronlinechoices.eu (European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance)
Use Meta's ad preferences at facebook.com/ads/preferences
Opting out of interest-based ads does not stop ads from appearing; it stops ads from being targeted based on your behavior and interests.
6. Email Marketing and Communications
We send the following types of email communications:
Transactional emails: order confirmations, receipts, product download links, booking confirmations — sent to anyone who purchases from us or books a call
Marketing emails: newsletters, educational content, product announcements, promotional offers — sent only to subscribers who have opted in
Automated sequences: a series of emails delivered via Kit following a specific action (downloading a lead magnet, purchasing a product, booking a call)
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any marketing email or by emailing us at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect delivery of transactional emails related to active orders or engagements.
We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties. We may share it with our email platform (Kit) and, in hashed form, with advertising platforms for audience-building purposes as described in Section 2.3.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it as follows:
Service providers: companies that help us operate our business — including Squarespace (website hosting), Kit/ConvertKit (email marketing), Stripe (payment processing), Squarespace Payments, scheduling tools, and analytics providers — who are contractually bound to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us
Advertising platforms: Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and potentially other platforms, for the purpose of running paid advertising campaigns, retargeting, custom audiences, and lookalike audiences
Professional advisors: attorneys, accountants, or other professionals when necessary for our legal or financial obligations
Legal compliance: law enforcement, courts, regulators, or other authorities when required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety
Business transfers: a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction; we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy
We do not knowingly share your information with other third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:
Maintain your subscriber status and deliver communications you have consented to receive
Fulfill our contractual obligations, including access to purchased digital products
Comply with legal obligations
Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
When you unsubscribe from our email list, we will suppress your address (stop sending) but may retain a record of your prior subscription for compliance purposes. You may request full deletion of your data as described in Section 10.
9. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include use of HTTPS encryption on our website, secure payment processing through PCI-compliant processors, and access controls on our email marketing platform.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com.
10. Your Privacy Rights

Right to Know: what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
Right to Delete: request deletion of personal information we have collected

Right to Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights
10.3 How to Submit a Request
To exercise any of the rights above, email us at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will respond within 30 days (or 45 days if an extension is needed, with notice).

We are operated by Blackmaven LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company. Our products and services include digital products and bundles and high-ticket consulting engagements.
Important Disclaimer: Nothing on this Site or in our products or services constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax, or career advice. We are not licensed attorneys, CPAs, registered investment advisors, or financial planners. All content is provided for educational and informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals before making material financial, legal, or career decisions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Site or purchase our products or services. By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
3. Payments and Billing
3.1 Payment Processors
We accept payment through the following processors depending on the product or service:
Squarespace Payments — for purchases made through our Squarespace storefront; transactions are processed by Stripe on behalf of Squarespace
Stripe — for consulting deposits, invoices, or standalone payment links we may send directly
Kit.com (ConvertKit Commerce) — for digital product sales processed through our Kit account
The processor used will be identified at checkout or in any invoice we send. All processors are independent companies with their own terms and privacy policies. By completing a purchase, you agree to the applicable processor's terms in addition to these Terms.
3.2 Pricing and Taxes
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time; changes do not affect orders already completed. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes in your jurisdiction.
3.3 Chargebacks and Disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us is a violation of these Terms and may result in termination of your access to our products and services.
4. Digital Products and License
4.1 Products Offered
We sell digital products and bundles, including The Mindset Shift, The Exit Blueprint, and bundle packages. These are digital downloads provided via email, download link, or access page upon confirmed payment.
4.2 License Granted
When you purchase a digital product from us, we grant you a non-transferrable, worldwide, revocable license. This license is personal to you and may not be transferred or sublicensed without explicit permission from us.
4.3 License Restrictions
You may NOT:
Resell or distribute the original, unmodified files as received from Beyond the Bureaucracy
Claim original authorship of the unmodified source content
Use the "Beyond the Bureaucracy" name, brand, logo, likeness, or any associated trademarks in connection with any resold, redistributed, or derivative product
Use the content in any manner that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, harmful, or violates any third-party rights
4.4 No Refunds on Digital Products
ALL SALES OF DIGITAL PRODUCTS ARE FINAL. Because digital products are delivered electronically and access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits for any reason.
If you experience a technical issue accessing a product you purchased (broken link, missing file, delivery failure), contact us within 30 days of purchase at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com and we will resolve the technical issue and ensure you receive what you paid for.
4.5 Delivery
Digital products are typically delivered via email to the address provided at checkout within a few minutes to a few hours of confirmed payment. If you do not receive your download within 24 hours, check your spam folder and then contact us. We are not responsible for delivery failures caused by incorrect email addresses provided at checkout.
5. Consulting Services — The Escape Plan
5.1 Nature of Services
The Escape Plan is a high-ticket consulting engagement. A separate Service Agreement will be provided and must be signed before work begins. That Service Agreement governs the specific scope, deliverables, timeline, fees, and payment schedule. These Terms govern the general relationship where not superseded by the Service Agreement.
5.2 Discovery Calls
Free discovery or fit calls are provided at our discretion as part of our sales process. Booking a call does not create a client relationship or obligate either party to proceed with an engagement. Information shared during a discovery call is treated with discretion but is not subject to a formal confidentiality agreement unless one is executed separately.
5.3 No Guarantee of Results
Our consulting services provide strategic guidance, frameworks, and accountability based on our experience. We do not guarantee nor are we liable for any specific financial outcome, income level, business result, or career change. Individual results vary and depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, market conditions, economic environment, and personal circumstances. Any results mentioned in our marketing materials are illustrative and not typical.
5.4 Consulting Cancellations
Cancellation and refund terms for consulting engagements are specified in your Service Agreement. As a general policy: consulting deposits are non-refundable. Sessions cancelled more than 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled once at no charge. No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are forfeited.
6. Paid Advertising and Marketing Communications
We engage in paid advertising on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and may advertise on other platforms. Our ads may be shown to you based on your interests, demographics, behavior, or because you have previously visited our Site or interacted with our content. By visiting our Site, you acknowledge that you may be shown our ads on third-party platforms as a result of pixels or cookies active on our Site (see Part One, Section 5).
We send marketing emails to subscribers who have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time. See Part One, Section 6 for full details on our email marketing practices.
We comply with the FTC's guidelines on advertising disclosures. Any paid or sponsored content will be identified as such.
7. Affiliate Links and Earnings Disclosures
This Site may contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. All material affiliate relationships are disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines.
Any income examples, case studies, or earnings figures referenced on this Site, in our emails, or in our products are provided for illustrative purposes only. They are not typical results and are not a guarantee that you will achieve similar outcomes. Your results will depend on your own effort, skill, market conditions, and many other variables.
8. User Conduct
By using this Site, you agree that you will not:
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its related systems
Transmit any malware, spam, or harmful code

We are not responsible for the operation, terms, or privacy practices of these third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. We do not warranty, endorse, or take responsibility for any third-party service.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THIS SITE AND ALL CONTENT, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that (a) the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; (b) any results obtained from use of the Site or our products will be accurate or reliable; or (c) defects will be corrected.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BLACKMAVEN LLC, ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THIS SITE, OUR PRODUCTS, OR OUR SERVICES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Blackmaven LLC and its affiliates, members, managers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of this Site or our products or services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your misuse of any product or service in violation of the license restrictions; (d) your infringement of any third-party intellectual property or other rights; or (e) any content you submit to us.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
14.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at jeremy@beyondthebureaucracy.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any dispute within 30 days.
14.3 Binding Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or your use of our Site, products, or services shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, with arbitration taking place in Fairfield County, Connecticut. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
14.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION AGAINST US. Any claim must be brought on an individual basis only.
14.5 Exceptions
We may seek emergency injunctive relief from a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm pending arbitration.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date. If changes are material, we may notify you by email (if you are a subscriber). Your continued use of the Site or purchase of our products after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to updated Terms, you should stop using the Site.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable under applicable law, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
17. Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of these Terms must be in writing and signed by us.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy (Part One of this document) and any applicable Service Agreement for consulting engagements, constitute the entire agreement between you and Blackmaven LLC regarding your use of this Site and our products and services. They supersede any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
